Matt Newton

Matt joined Columbia Capital in 1996 and focuses on communication services opportunities. Specific areas of attention for Matt include enterprise IT services, wireless communications, broadband wireless services, and various wireless spectrum opportunities. Matt is currently a director of Adjoined Consulting, Affinity Internet, Clearlinx Networks, MindSHIFT Technologies, Cleveland Unlimited, Optasite, and WCS Wireless. He has previously been actively involved with Columbia 's investments in NMP (acquired by Commerce One), Pihana Pacific (acquired by Equinix), and WNP Communications (acquired by XO Communications) among others. Prior to joining Columbia Capital, Matt worked in the corporate finance department of Dean Witter Reynolds as part of the Industrial Manufacturing group. Matt received his B.S. in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University.
